Michael McNeill

Michael McNeill graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1981 and trained in anaesthesia primarily at Glasgow Western Infirmary and Glasgow Royal Infirmary, gaining the diploma of FRCA in 1985.  He was appointed to the post of Consultant Anaesthetist at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 1990.

His special interests include anaesthesia for colorectal surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopaedics and obstetric anaesthesia. He is currently involved in research to reduce the contamination of epidural catheters in obstetric anaesthetic practice.

Michael McNeill is a member of the Association of Anaesthetists; the Scottish Society of Anaesthetists; and the Obstetric Anaesthetists Association.
