Piles (haemorrhoids) are natural cushions at the anal canal which can become symptomatic producing pain, itch, anal moisture, bleeding and prolapse. The Institute offers complete assessment of patients suffering from piles with a range of haemorrhoid treatments from conservative measures through to HALO (haemorrhoidal artery ligation operation), stapled anopexy and conventional haemorrhoidectomy. Patients are clinically assessed and where appropriate further investigated with anorectal manometry and endoanal ultrasound.
